About the Journey
I’m Aaron. I’m Australian, and for the last few years I’ve been living and working abroad.
This project started as a way to document movement. Across countries, jobs, seasons, and ideas of what “a stable life” is supposed to look like. Some chapters are quiet. Some are uncomfortable. Others are exactly what I hoped for when I first packed a bag and left.
Heading North, Going South isn’t about escaping responsibility or chasing highlights. It’s about building something sustainable while still choosing motion. Balancing work, travel, creativity, and health. Learning in public. Getting things wrong and adjusting course.
Most of the storytelling lives on video. Some moments are better captured moving, not written. This site exists as a base. A place to collect the journey, share context, and slow things down when needed.
If you’re here because you’re curious about living abroad, working while traveling, or building a more intentional life without pretending it’s all freedom and sunsets, you’re in the right place.
This is a long road. I’m documenting it as honestly as I can.
